Good perspective. Thanks for the feedback. I can definitely see these girls attempting to conform to norms to gain acceptance, which was the reason I had to ask the question. I can easily see that, in the future, they will become more individualized, but was hoping to plant this thought in some of their heads to accelerate the process, by making them understand that, to others, they are blending themselves into the populace, and effectively covering what makes them unique in any way, in the vision of the outside world.

Perhaps what you are witnessing is a certain stage of development. It seems that you are mostly observing this on a college campus which mainly consists of young adults. This is a transitional stage of development in which these young ladies you are speaking of are striving for 2 things; acceptance of peers and their sense of identity. As they move on from the adolescence stage(trying to be cool) to being a young adult (learning who you are) explorations manifest differently between both genders. Perhaps girls are conformed in fashion but guys are typically conformed in interests (ie. sports, hunting, and technology). Plus when you are in the university environment there are so many unique pressures that will not follow them into the real world. Sure it is important to most girls to look good and be fashionable (as this increases self esteem) but as they leave the university and explore the world on their own all of these experiences will come together to form each person individually, as there is more to a person than their clothing. And even if she does wear tights and uggs the rest of her life maybe they are just comfortable lol. Just my opinion but I may be wrong :)

I just talked with the administrators and my school about graduating and transferring to MSU. Come to find out, almost none of the classes I've taken during the past couple years will actually transfer to Michigan State. Out of the 72 credits I have, 82 after this semester, only 17 credits will transfer. And it's all the 100 level classes. Shit I could have gotten out of the way in the first year and been done, but the school said I would need all this other stuff (science, biology, humanities).

They take a picture of you when you check in to get your Visa, which scans your eyes. Then they can prove you are who you say you are, and when they ask you if you've been to Cuba before, they'll know if you're lying. It's just a little camera. The "Eye scan" is done on the computer from the photo. It's not actually a laser in the eye or anything.

I think across the street from Hardrock is where we had lunch one day. Hamburger Mary's. We had coupons for burger deals buy one get one free! It didn't take us too long to figure out it was a gay restaurant! You bill came in a high heeled shoe and later that evening the entertainment was female impersonators or something like that. But it was a cheap lunch and we had fun.

Yet she belongs to the top, affluent class in her country where most people barely make a thousand or two a year. That her family owns roughly one million dollars also means they are richer than most Americans. i am so glad that so many have woken to ron paul... i have always voted for this man... he is the real deal.... not bogus talk but facts and truth from his start to now never changed his views on the constitution or the people. i tell you folks he is the only chance we have for our freedom and keeping the constitution( and, we are in a constitutional crisis)you can look into his eyes he loves america and he cares for the we the people... after all the eyes are the window to the soul.he is all about what is right and good for not just his family but ours.he is in the right place at the right time america needs him for america to mend her and the spirit of her peolpe to rgain her strenght and remember how our fathers before us fought and many died to have the freedom that this man as our president will allow us to have once again... this is our last chance and hope to keep our freedom and get this great nation back. we are not far from complete communist as it is now. i want to be free and have rights as we did before.may ron paul who wants the constitution and freedom not just for his own family but ours also... be blessed to know what to say to wake up those who don't have a clue as to what is going. i believe in ron paul... he has never been wishy washy the same 30 years ago to now. he is what america needs now . may God bless him to mend our nation back from all the tyranny.
